Alice sat on her comfortable bed, her legs crossed as she closed her book.

A long yawn began to escape her throat, and she shifted aside, wheeling her head to look at the clock. As she focused her eyes on the hour arrow, then the minute arrow, it was as if her ears decided to shut down.

She ignored the noise that came from her window, and assumed it was simply a branch. She squinted her eyes, not being able to read the clock as her mind spiraled off and thought about different things. She forgot she could just check
